The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald closes the distance and clinches up with Kazlauskas, looking for a takedown. MacDonald pushes Kazlauskas against the cage but Kazlauskas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
MacDonald will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
MacDonald moves in looking to clinch but Kazlauskas pushes him off.

Cesys Kazlauskas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James MacDonald.
MacDonald goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kazlauskas has hold of one of MacDonald's legs. MacDonald is fighting the takedown attempt but Kazlauskas gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kazlauskas passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kazlauskas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. MacDonald is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kazlauskas yanks on the arm and MacDonald is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kazlauskas.
