Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Barber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuu Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ray Barber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryuu Ueda!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barber closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ueda to the mat! Ueda manages to get full guard.
Barber tries to stand but Ueda is controlling from the bottom.
Ueda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barber can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ueda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Barber manages to get himself to full guard.
Barber not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ueda being controlled here momentarily.
Barber throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ueda tries to free his leg and advance position but Barber is retaining full guard.
Barber is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Barber looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Ueda stopping the sweep attempt from Barber.
Ueda is looking to stand up but Barber won't let him.
Ueda wants to control from the top but Barber keeps moving.
Ueda throwing strikes from guard but Barber blocks nicely.
Barber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ueda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ueda wants to pass the guard but Barber is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ueda wanted to stand there but Barber had control of the position.

Barber has his hands on Ueda's head, controlling the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ueda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ueda tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Barber counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barber is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ueda looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Ueda looks winded!
Barber is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ueda defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barber is working for a submission of some sort.
Barber stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Ueda drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Barber bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Barber blocks a head kick by Ueda.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ueda feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barber pushes Ueda off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Barber shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Barber stands and steps away. Ueda gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Barber avoids the head kick by Ueda.
Barber really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barber scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ueda tries to get to full guard but Barber has control of the leg.
Barber is trying for a kimura here. Ueda looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Barber wins by kimura!
