The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lima rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lawton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lima has closed the distance and engaged Lawton in a clinch.

Lima breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lima throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lima really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lawton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lima is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Lawton has an Americana. Lima didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lawton is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lawton hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
