Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ollie Ritch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Karol Tarczynski! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarczynski takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ritch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick from Ritch lands but Tarczynski takes it in his stride.

Ritch scores with a decent looking hook. Tarczynski slips under a jab. Tarczynski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ritch, pushing him back against the ropes. That's one minute gone in the round. Tarczynski is looking to control Ritch's arms but Ritch gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tarczynski has his back to the ropes. I was talking to Ritch's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Tarczynski leaning his opponent against the ropes. Tarczynski lands with a short punch from the clinch.

A battle for position here, against the ropes. Tarczynski is trying to maintain a safe position but Ritch gets an underhook and turns Tarczynski into the ropes. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Karol Tarczynski. Ritch avoids the head kick by Tarczynski.
Tarczynski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tarczynski there as he acknowledges the shot. Tarczynski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ritch throws out the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Tarczynski lands but Ritch takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ritch is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Tarczynski connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ritch. Ritch circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Tarczynski throws a series of punches but Ritch moves out of range. Ollie Ritch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ritch throws a series of strikes that have Tarczynski backpedaling.

Tarczynski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ritch. Tarczynski throws a combination that misses and Ritch counters with a straight right hand. Tarczynski looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ritch doesn't manage to clinch there - Tarczynski circles away.

Tarczynski throws a shot from downtown. Ritch moves away and avoids it. Tarczynski fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Karol Tarczynski will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Karol Tarczynski's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Ritch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tarczynski lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sloppy strikes from Ritch. Those never looked like landing. Ritch drops his hands momentarily and Tarczynski takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Ritch is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ritch walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Ritch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ritch tries to clinch there but Tarczynski circles away.
A punch lands to the side of Ritch 's head but he takes it in his stride. Ritch looks to land a combination but Tarczynski avoids it well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ritch throws a lazy right hand but Tarczynski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ritch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tarczynski. Tarczynski darts in and clinches Ritch up against the ropes. Tarczynski lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ritch backwards. Tarczynski misses with a knee to the head. Tarczynski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ritch throws a hook to the side of Tarczynski's head but Tarczynski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ritch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ritch takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ritch tries a head kick but it misses.
Ritch swats away the attempt to clinch by Tarczynski. Tarczynski misses with a two punch combination.
Nice jab there from Tarczynski. Tarczynski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ritch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tarczynski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tarczynski looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Ritch scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ritch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A nice leg kick lands there from Tarczynski. This has been an exciting period of action! Tarczynski throws a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tarczynski misses with a body kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tarczynski checks a leg kick. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ritch lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tarczynski has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tarczynski and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Ritch gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Tarczynski throws out a loose jab but Ritch uses good head movement to avoid it. Tarczynski throws a low kick but Ritch avoids it. A thudding body kick lands there by Tarczynski!
Tarczynski turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Karol Tarczynski seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tarczynski scoring well with a low kick there.
Ritch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tarczynski's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ritch under the eye. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tarczynski, right into the meat.

Karol Tarczynski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Karol Tarczynski's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tarczynski is looking to slow Ritch down with leg kicks. Ritch looks to land a right hand but Tarczynski moved out of range. Tarczynski blocks a head kick by Ritch.

Tarczynski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ritch throws a head kick that misses and Tarczynski counters with a leg kick. Tarczynski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ritch has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A solid body kick from Tarczynski. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tarczynski looks low and kicks high, catching Ritch right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!
Ritch is rocked! Ritch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Oh Ritch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tarczynski throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Ritch seems to have got his legs back now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tarczynski stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ritch walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
