The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prebble moves into the clinch successfully.
Lahey is trying to stall.
Lahey is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Prebble gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Lahey tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lahey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Prebble just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Lahey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prebble drags the fight down to the ground.
Lahey wants to control from the top but Prebble keeps moving. Lahey makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Prebble wriggles free and stands up. Prebble shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lahey regains half guard. Prebble prevents Lahey from improving his position. Lahey gets back to full guard.

Prebble postures up in Lahey's guard and throws a big left but Lahey blocks it. Lahey wriggles free and stands up. Lahey with a lazy takedown attempt so Prebble counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lahey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Prebble looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Prebble with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prebble wants to pass the guard but Lahey is keeping the position. Prebble throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lahey works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Prebble must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Prebble wants to control from the top but Lahey keeps moving. Lahey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lahey is striking but Prebble is not phased and passes to half guard. Prebble is looking to stall here but Lahey recovers full guard. Lahey looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Prebble has picked Lahey up and slammed him! Lahey can't keep hold of the triangle and Prebble manages to pass to side control! Lahey wants to control but Prebble postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prebble thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Prebble controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lahey tries to improve position but can't. Lahey tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Lahey looking for a sweep but Prebble has passed into full mount! Oh no! Lahey tries to lock up and control but Prebble gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Prebble really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lahey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lahey is breathing heavily. Lahey is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Prebble working away from the top, dropping strikes. Lahey looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lahey covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Prebble controlling from the back. Lahey rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Prebble seems to be looking for submissions.
Lahey is trying to control but Prebble manages to pass to mount!

Phil Prebble dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lahey tries for a takedown but Prebble circles away easily and Prebble counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lahey slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Lahey looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Prebble has picked Lahey up and slammed him! Lahey can't keep hold of the triangle and Prebble manages to pass to side control! Lahey tries to buck Prebble off but Prebble is having none of it. Prebble stands up and we're back to a striking position. Prebble misses with a takedown and Lahey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Prebble looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lahey trying to control but Prebble is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lahey won't allow Prebble to sweep him here. Lahey makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Prebble keeping moving, preventing Lahey from controlling successfully. Lahey throws a big right hand that misses. Lahey content to stall in guard here. Lahey looking to pass the guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Lahey misses with a takedown and Prebble counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lahey is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Prebble gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lahey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lahey. Prebble wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lahey is now in half guard. Lahey working Prebble over with strikes. Lahey is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Prebble! Lahey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Prebble is looking to escape. Lahey looking for a guillotine from mount but Prebble is having none of it. Lahey looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Prebble is trying to get back to full guard. Prebble is looking to escape. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lahey connects with a nice short shot to Prebble's temple. Prebble won't allow Lahey to pass to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lahey scoring well with a low kick there.
Lahey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Prebble counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Lahey. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lahey pulls Prebble in close to his closed guard and prevents Prebble from doing any damage or advancing position. Lahey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Prebble stands up over Lahey, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Prebble has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lahey is proving hard to escape from. Lahey throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lahey looking for a guillotine here but Prebble defends easily.
Prebble stands up and waves to Lahey to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lahey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prebble. Prebble clinches up against the cage. Prebble gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Prebble prevents Lahey from improving his position. Lahey looking for submissions off his back. Prebble wants to stand up but Lahey is controlling the position.
Phil Prebble has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lahey is pressing down on Prebble's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Lahey seems keen to control Prebble's posture. Lahey looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Prebble has picked Lahey up and slammed him! Lahey can't keep hold of the triangle and Prebble manages to pass to side control! Lahey is looking to regain half guard here but Prebble keeps moving and retains side control. Lahey wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Lahey tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Prebble presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Lahey is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Prebble putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Prebble looking to control but Lahey is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Prebble landing strikes, looking to finish! Prebble has hold of Lahey's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lahey manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lahey is desperately trying to improve his position but Prebble has a good base and remains in mount. Jim Lahey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Prebble wants to control the pace but Lahey is squirming around nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Phil Prebble comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Prebble has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
