Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koji Sobando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray has chosen Skindred - Warning as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Koji Sobando!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nick Gray!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobando feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gray looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sobando trying to control but Gray is working from the bottom.
Sobando stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gray swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gray is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sobando defends well.

Gray wants to stand and escape but Sobando is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nick Gray.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sobando looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gray jabs Sobando right on the nose. Sobando blinks but takes it well.
Sobando avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Gray, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sobando drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sobando postures up in Gray's guard and throws a big left but Gray blocks it.
Sobando forces his way into half guard.
Sobando wants to work for an arm triangle but Gray is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gray felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Gray wants to get back to full guard.
Gray is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sobando is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sobando works his way into side control.
You can see the frustration on Gray's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gray tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gray wants to control but Sobando postures up.
Sobando moves into full mount!

Gray is in a horrible position here. Sobando smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Sobando can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gray is looking to escape.
A big strike lands for Sobando! That's really hurt Gray and he's turned his back - Sobando keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sobando jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
