Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rustam Bidienko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rustam Bidienko!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight gets caught flat footed, as Bidienko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Knight really is a fat lump.
Knight keeping moving, preventing Bidienko from controlling successfully.
Bidienko looking to pass the guard.

Rustam Bidienko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bidienko avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bidienko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bidienko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bidienko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bidienko wants to stand but Knight is controlling his arm.
Knight is looking for a sweep.

Bidienko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knight swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bidienko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rustam Bidienko was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bidienko.

Bidienko content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bidienko tries to score with some ground and pound. Knight controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rustam Bidienko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bidienko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Knight is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bidienko asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bidienko tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Knight tries to bench press Bidienko off him but Bidienko keeps the position.

Bidienko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Knight keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Knight tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Rustam Bidienko has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bidienko tries to pass the half guard into mount. Knight knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Knight is looking to get back to is feet but Bidienko passes into side control.
Bidienko wants to control for a moment but Knight uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bidienko passes the guard and advances to mount!

Rustam Bidienko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Knight tries to keep at a distance but Bidienko has taken the fight into the clinch.
Knight is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bidienko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bidienko has Knight up against the cage in a clinch.

Bidienko turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bidienko manages to end up in side control.
Knight is trying to get back to half guard.
Bidienko tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The ground and pound from Bidienko seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Knight is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bidienko is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Bidienko is trying to control the action in half guard but Knight is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Knight is trying to control but can't.
Knight is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bidienko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Knight tries to kick Bidienko off but Bidienko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bidienko wants to work for an arm triangle but Knight is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bidienko is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Bidienko moves into full mount! Knight won't be happy about that!

Bidienko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well Bidienko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
