The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gracien missing with a left hand there. Ribeiro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ribeiro doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gracien counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Gracien forces Ribeiro back against the cage and clinches.
Ribeiro fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Royce Gracien has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cesar Ribeiro.

Ribeiro jumps guard but Gracien turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Ribeiro tries to break the clinch but Gracien is controlling the position.
Ribeiro jumps guard but Gracien stands there with Ribeiro around his waist. Ribeiro gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ribeiro tries to stall but Gracien uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Gracien gets through Ribeiro's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ribeiro is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gracien pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Gracien working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Gracien lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ribeiro backwards.

Ribeiro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gracien smiles and moves away.
Cesar Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ribeiro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracien throws out the jab.
Ribeiro is still on wobbly legs! Can Gracien finish him?
Gracien clinches up with Ribeiro and pushes him back against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Gracien as Ribeiro tries to tie him up.

Gracien gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ribeiro.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gracien.
Gracien pushes Ribeiro against the cage. Gracien is working some dirty boxing. Gracien pushes off with a quick right hook! Ribeiro goes down! Ribeiro tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Gracien moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
