Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wally Hoover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wally Hoover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Joe! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe avoids the head kick by Hoover.
Joe thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hoover if he has to take too many more of those.
Joe drives through and clinches with Hoover against the cage.
Hoover drags the fight down to the ground.
Hoover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hoover throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Joe has eaten all the pies! Joe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Joe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hoover has Joe pulled in close to control his posture. Hoover has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Joe is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hoover. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoover is trying to control Joe's posture but Joe avoids it. Joe is looking to take a break and control but Hoover is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoover is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Joe asserts his dominance and retains side control. Hoover manages to work his way to half guard, despite Joe's best efforts. Joe seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Hoover gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Joe controls Hoover momentarily but Hoover frees himself. Joe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hoover defends it easily. Hoover postures up and lands a big shot to Joe's brow. Hoover stands up from guard. Let's bang! Hoover gets caught flat footed, as Joe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Joe trying to control but Hoover is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe won't allow Hoover to get back to his feet. Joe wants to get up but he can't break Hoover's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Joe trying to control the position from guard on top but Hoover is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Little Joe was stalling too much, according to the referee. A head kick misses from Hoover. Hoover tries to sprawl but Joe drives through with a takedown into half guard. Joe looks winded! Joe is trying to control. Hoover wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe wants to free his trapped foot but Hoover is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hoover has one foot on Joe's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Joe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hoover napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joe prevents Hoover from escaping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joe wants to control but Hoover is keeping him busy. Hoover is trying to escape and get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe connects with a crisp jab. Joe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hoover napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hoover is looking to regain half guard here but Joe keeps moving and retains side control. Joe trying to control the action but Hoover is working from the bottom. Joe working the ground and pound but Hoover is defending the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe tries to get to his feet but Hoover is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Joe in his guard. Hoover has control of Joe's left arm, preventing Joe from doing any damage. Hoover keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Hoover gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hoover will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hoover decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Joe, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe closes the distance and clinches. Hoover tries to pull guard but Joe holds him up against the cage and eventually Hoover drops back down to his feet.
Joe decides to pull guard. Joe is breathing heavily. Joe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoover is one step ahead there. Joe wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hoover is now in half guard. Hoover is trying to work for a kimura but Joe is defending well.
Hoover working over Joe with some ground and pound. Joe looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoover winds up and cracks Joe with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hoover is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Little Joe has got the better of the ground game so far. Hoover wants to stand up but Joe has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hoover throwing shots but Joe is blocking nicely. Hoover escapes and gets back to his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoover enables Joe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoover manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Joe drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hoover looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hoover looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hoover! Hoover stands up and beckons Joe to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoover throws a nice head kick!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hoover has closed the distance and engaged Joe in a clinch.
Joe is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Hoover keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Joe's efforts to push away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Joe misses with a shot to the kidneys.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wally Hoover will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Joe instigates a clinch. Hoover keeps control of Joe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hoover has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Hoover has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Joe uses from the top position. Hoover is looking to stand up but Joe isn't so interested in that idea. Hoover controlling the position. Hoover has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Joe has passed into side control.

Hoover is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Joe lands some shots froms side control. Joe decides to stand back up. Joe steps back and let's Hoover get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Joe has Hoover up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoover tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Joe gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hoover holds on and takes a little breather. Hoover preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joe trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hoover's guard. Hoover wants to improve his position but instead Joe has moved into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Joe wants to get back to his feet.
Joe content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Joe is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Hoover to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoover keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hoover wants to sweep here but Joe controlling him for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Little Joe was stalling too much, according to the referee. Joe throws a head kick that misses and Hoover counters with a right hand to the body. Hoover misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Little Joe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Joe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
