The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hadjiev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Adams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hadjiev somewhat.
Hadjiev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Adams circles away.
Hadjiev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Erich Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valentin Hadjiev.
Adams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hadjiev.

Hadjiev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Adams defends well and Hadjiev ends up having to push Adams into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hadjiev cracks Adams with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Adams from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Hadjiev cracks Adams with a big shot to the side of the head Adams is covering up - he's in big trouble! Hadjiev connects with another shot that knocks Adams out cold! Hadjiev stands above his unconscious opponent and soaks up the roars from the crowd!
