Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Royce Grazies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Kozlov! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozlov throws a jab when Grazies was well out of range. Kozlov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Grazies moves out of range as Kozlov strikes. Kozlov attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Kozlov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kozlov closes the distance and clinches. Kozlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kozlov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Grazies shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grazies looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Grazies with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kozlov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grazies wants to take Kozlov's back here but Kozlov is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Kozlov is looking to improve his position but Grazies isn't that keen on the idea. Kozlov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grazies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Grazies is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Grazies extends the arm and Kozlov is forced to tap!
