The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gadzhiev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Riley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Riley successfully pulls guard.
Gadzhiev is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riley managing to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Riley or perhaps it was just good defense by Gadzhiev, which made it look bad.

Gadzhiev shoots in and bounces Riley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Riley looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gadzhiev puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Gadzhiev wants to pass to mount but Riley is defending the position.

Riley bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gadzhiev manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Riley tries to improve his position but Gadzhiev has taken his back! Gadzhiev has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Riley tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Gadzhiev pushes Riley away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
