Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Parker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Beast Baker! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peter Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Peter Parker has been cut. Some wild striking there from Baker.
Parker tries to clinch up. Parker throws a head kick that half lands.
A good leg kick by Baker. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Baker throws a sloppy head kick and Parker moves out of range easily. Baker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Parker checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Baker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baker lands in his opponent's guard. Baker trying to control but Parker is working from the bottom. Parker looking for a guillotine here but Baker defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Baker is looking to take a break and control but Parker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Baker feints and then cracks Parker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Parker down. Parker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Baker. Parker blocks a head kick by Baker.
Parker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Baker counters with a left to the body. The crowd cheers as Baker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Parker doesn't seem phased though. Baker is looking to slow Parker down with leg kicks. Baker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Baker lands the left hand. Baker fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Parker is out of range. Parker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Baker looks to land a combination but Parker avoids it well. Baker works the jab nicely.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Baker scores with a takedown into Parker's guard. Baker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving. Parker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Baker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Parker wants to improve his position but Baker is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker wants to get back to full guard but Baker has passed into side control. Baker looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Baker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Parker is looking to escape. Parker is trying desperately to improve position. Baker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Baker has hold of Parker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Parker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Parker wants to clinch but Baker slips to the side and Baker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Parker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Parker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Parker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Baker lands with a thumping leg kick.
Baker scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Good shot there by Baker. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Baker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Parker to the mat! Parker manages to get full guard. Baker wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving. Baker scoring with punches to the head and body. Baker is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Baker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Baker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Parker manages to regain half guard. Good work. Parker is looking for a sweep. Baker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Parker is pressing down on Baker's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Baker won't allow Parker to sweep him here. Parker keeping moving, preventing Baker from controlling successfully.

Parker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Baker escapes and throws Parker's legs to the side, diving into side control! Parker is trying to improve his position. Parker takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Beast Baker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Peter Parker's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Baker throws a lazy head kick and Parker counters with a left and a right that stings Baker. Baker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Parker closes the distance and clinches up with Baker, looking for a takedown. Parker pushes Baker against the cage but Baker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Baker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A head kick by Parker misses and Baker counters with a nice low kick that buckles Parker's knee momentarily. Parker is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. A bone on bone clash there as Parker blocks the leg kick.

Parker with a lazy takedown attempt and Baker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Parker won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parker is looking for a sweep. Baker is looking to take a break and control but Parker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. He's got his arms around Parker's waist but Parker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baker off to one side. Baker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Baker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Baker lands with a thumping leg kick.
Parker wants to clinch and Baker counters with a lovely straight right hand! Parker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baker, pushing him back against the cage. Baker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parker throws a sloppy head kick so Baker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Parker looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Parker striking off his back but it's not causing Baker any problems.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Parker is striking but Baker is not phased and passes to half guard. Parker is not content to let Baker control the position. Parker throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baker feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Parker's calf. Parker slips a jab from Baker. Parker tries a head kick but it misses.

Baker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Parker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baker swivels and escapes.

He turned his hip over nicely there. Parker gets in close and instigates a clinch. Baker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Parker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Baker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parker moves out of range of the body kick. Parker scores with the left hand. Baker knows he should have avoided that one. Parker misses with a head kick.
Baker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baker showed some decent athleticism there. Parker pushes Baker off looking to stand but Baker dives back in and keeps control.

You get the feeling that Parker really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Baker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Beast Baker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Parker is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Beast Baker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Baker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
