Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Angel Mccarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ale Cali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cali fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cali shoots in but Mccarthy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cali manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mccarthy on his heels. He'll look to pass Mccarthy's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Cali sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Cali throws a front kick aimed at Mccarthy's knee but Mccarthy avoids it well.

Cali has Mccarthy pressed against the cage, preventing Mccarthy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Cali drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mccarthy has Cali pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mccarthy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cali tumbling to the mat - Mccarthy dives into Cali's guard.

Cali has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mccarthy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cali.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mccarthy is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cali gets his way!

Cali throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mccarthy escapes and throws Cali's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Mccarthy stands up and beckons Cali to his feet.

Cali has closed the distance and engaged Mccarthy in a clinch.

Mccarthy gets control of Cali's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mccarthy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Cali stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mccarthy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mccarthy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cali wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mccarthy, who protects the arm well.
Cali is breathing heavily.
Mccarthy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cali's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Mccarthy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cali is working away from the top position though.

Cali is looking for a kimura here.
Mccarthy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cali's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cali's back!

Mccarthy is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Cali has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Mccarthy has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Cali taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Mccarthy doesn't care though - he's delighted!
