Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miles David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Polubotko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miles David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrei Polubotko!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polubotko tries for a takedown but David circles away easily

and David counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by David.
Polubotko can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as David controls the pace.
David is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Polubotko tries to land a sweep but no joy.
David controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
David has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

David wants to pass the guard but Polubotko is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Miles David.
David looks to land a combination. Polubotko sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Polubotko wants to clinch.

David bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Polubotko is trying to get back to half guard.
David wants to lay and pray for a moment but Polubotko keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Polubotko throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
David tries to advance to mount but can't.
Polubotko seems a little lost for a moment, as David dominates the positioning.
David lands a few punches from side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Polubotko on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
David is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Polubotko's shoulder. That is not cool.
Polubotko is not content to let David control the position.
Polubotko can't do much from the bottom here.
David lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

You can see the frustration on Polubotko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
David looks up at the clock and then as Polubotko takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, David smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Polubotko is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


David smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and David counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Polubotko's guard now.

Miles David overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

David got a little sloppy there for a moment and Polubotko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, David has managed to get both his arms back between Polubotko's legs - danger averted.

Polubotko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
David stands up over Polubotko, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

David is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Polubotko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
David is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Polubotko throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Miles David dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


David cracks Polubotko with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

David shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Polubotko is trying to defend but David finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

David is taking a breather. Polubotko says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
David's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

David changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Polubotko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Miles David showed his dominance in that final round.
Well David has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
