2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rodney Garcia! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlovsson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been hearing reports that Karlovsson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Karlovsson fails with a takedown attempt. Garcia lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Jonas Karlovsson has been cut. Garcia misses with a body shot.
Garcia bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Karlovsson! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Karlovsson is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Garcia wants to pass the guard but Karlovsson is keeping the position. Garcia wants to control from the top but Karlovsson keeps moving. Garcia looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Karlovsson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Garcia has Karlovsson in his guard. Karlovsson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Garcia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Karlovsson manages to get himself to full guard.
Karlovsson wants to stand and escape but Garcia is having none of it. Garcia is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Karlovsson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Karlovsson has escaped and now he's on top! Karlovsson throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karlovsson throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Garcia is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Karlovsson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Garcia has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Karlovsson is looking to defend but Garcia has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Karlovsson! Garcia pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Karlovsson taps out and this one is all over!
