Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amir Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miquel Costas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miquel Costas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amir Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miquel Costas!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costas looks to land a body kick but Khan moved away.
Khan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Good exchange - Khan coming out on top.
It looks like Miquel Costas has been cut.
Khan moves out of range of the body kick.
Khan scores with a punch to the head.
Costas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Khan finds it's way round the side to connect with Costas's head.
Khan stalks Costas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Costas's face. Costas staggers backwards, shaken.
Khan throws a quick inside leg kick.
Khan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Costas.
Costas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khan throws a one two combo.
Costas is rocked!
Costas takes one to the chin there.
Costas is still on wobbly legs! Can Khan finish him?
Costas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Khan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Khan scores with a punch to the head.
Khan jabs at Costas's body.
Costas tries to clinch but Khan moves away
and Khan counters by moving into the clinch.
Khan presses Costas against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Costas misses with a body punch.
Khan lands a body shot.
A right hook to the body lands for Khan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Costas backwards.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Khan.
Khan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Khan creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Costas's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Costas drops to his knees and Khan pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amir Khan!
A very excited looking Amir Khan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
