Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalek Gallifrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallifrey has chosen Resist the Thought- Extermination as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dalek Gallifrey is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

We've been hearing reports that Drake has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Drake tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gallifrey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Drake somewhat.

Drake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gallifrey defends it well.
Drake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Drake uses his free foot to push down on Gallifrey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gallifrey.
Drake throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gallifrey because Drake loaded up on that one.

Drake is landing with some decent strikes but Gallifrey is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Gallifrey felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee warns Gallifrey that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Drake is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Gallifrey is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Gallifrey flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Drake anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Gallifrey and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Drake slips an arm under Gallifrey chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Drake has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Drake is squeezing on Gallifrey like an anaconda would it's prey. Gallifrey fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
