Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredrick Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabriel Bjj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fredrick Walsh! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walsh lands a body shot.
Walsh moves into the clinch. Walsh wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bjj has him pressed against the cage. Walsh gets underhooks to prevent Bjj's takedown attempt.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Walsh. Bjj is working for takedown but Walsh is calmly controlling the position for now. Bjj drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Bjj. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walsh throws an elbow that misses.
Bjj wants a takedown but no success here.
Walsh gets control of Bjj's arms and successfully pulls guard. Walsh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bjj drops back looking for a leg! Walsh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walsh manages to kick Bjj off! Bjj jumps back into Walsh's guard. Bjj pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walsh is keeping the position for now. Bjj drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bjj jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Walsh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bjj is controlling him. Bjj drops back looking for a leg! Walsh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walsh manages to kick Bjj off! Bjj jumps back into Walsh's guard. Walsh managing to control the position. Walsh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bjj gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bjj sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Walsh's guard. Walsh is defending against the submission attempts here by Bjj.
Bjj is looking for a kimura but Walsh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bjj to get the leverage. Bjj prevents Walsh from standing back up.
Bjj wants to free his trapped foot but Walsh is holding on for dear life with his legs. Walsh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Walsh keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bjj seems to be looking for submissions.

Bjj is breathing heavily. Walsh moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bjj thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Walsh wants to stand but Bjj is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walsh kicks Bjj off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walsh tries for a takedown but Bjj sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bjj swats away the attempt to clinch by Walsh. Walsh shoots for a double leg takedown but Bjj sprawls well. He's pushed Walsh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bjj tries to sprawl but Walsh drives through with a takedown into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bjj looking for submissions off his back. Walsh is looking for a kimura here.

Walsh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bjj as he avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Walsh. Walsh fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walsh tries a head kick but it misses.
Fredrick Walsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walsh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bjj sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walsh somewhat. Gabriel Bjj has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fredrick Walsh. Walsh shoots in looking for a takedown but Bjj manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Walsh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Walsh fails to land with a series of punches.
Walsh tries to clinch but Bjj moves out of range. Walsh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Walsh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bjj sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walsh somewhat.

Walsh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bjj sprawls well. Bjj wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walsh gets slowly back to his feet. Walsh throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
