Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miles David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miles David! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Goodman! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David gets a double leg takedown into Goodman's guard. David throwing strikes but missing. David trying to control but Goodman is working from the bottom. David in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Goodman can't keep his opponent in guard - David advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. David working the head and body with strikes. David throwing shots but Goodman is blocking nicely. Goodman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as David accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. David slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. David lands a couple of digs.
That's one minute gone in the round. David with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. David pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Goodman is keeping the position for now. David postures up and lands a big shot to Goodman's brow. Goodman working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. David manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Goodman lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. This has been an exciting period of action! Goodman misses with a jab, cross combination.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! David showing good wrestling skills to control the position. David is in close to Goodman's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by David! David wants to lay and pray for a moment but Goodman keeps working. Goodman tries to bench press David off him but David keeps the position. Goodman is trying to control David's posture but David avoids it. Goodman felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. David works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Goodman is rocked! David looks up at the clock and then as Goodman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, David smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Goodman is still in real trouble! Can David finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. David works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. David working the ground and pound. David controls the position from side control. David cracks Goodman with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! David immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Goodman is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by David!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miles David!
