Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Obworth!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Snake misses with a hook

and Obworth counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The Snake is looking to reverse the position.
Obworth connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused The Snake some visible discomfort.


It looks like Jake The Snake has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Obworth is working The Snake over with some ground and pound from side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The Snake is looking for a sweep.
Obworth scoring with punches from side control.


The Snake is rocked!


Jake The Snake's cut is getting worse.
Obworth cracks The Snake with a big right hand but The Snake just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Oh The Snake is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!


Jake The Snake's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Obworth is working to tighten his grip on The Snake's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. The Snake has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Obworth is really squeezing tight and eventually The Snake passes out! Obworth breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jacob Obworth!
After winning the bout, Jacob Obworth thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
