Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyle gets caught napping as Brown dives in and scores a takedown. Doyle manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Doyle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Doyle seems to be working for a kimura but Brown defends the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brown clinches with his opponent.
Doyle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Doyle sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Doyle feints a jab promting Brown to slip. Doyle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Brown slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Doyle throws a big shot that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darren Doyle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Brown.

Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Doyle here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
