Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Toolsy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Toolsy! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toolsy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Franks counters with a series of strikes. Toolsy will be more careful next time no doubt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Toolsy. Toolsy dodges the punch combination from Franks.
Franks fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Franks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Toolsy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Franks prevents Toolsy from getting back to his feet. Toolsy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Franks defends well. Franks postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toolsy is working an open guard so Franks takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Toolsy is defended easily by Franks. Monte Franks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Toolsy. Franks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Toolsy sprawls well initially but Franks persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Toolsy looks winded! Franks seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Franks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toolsy is just riding it out for now. Franks eventually gives up the hold. Toolsy is defending against the submission attempts here by Franks.

Franks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. You can see the frustration on Toolsy's face as Franks controls the position. That's one minute gone in the round. Toolsy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Toolsy wants to pass the guard but Franks is defending well. Franks gets full guard. Monte Franks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Franks is controlling Toolsy's posture. Toolsy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Franks is pulling down on Toolsy's head. It's preventing any offense from Toolsy, at least for the moment. Toolsy preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franks is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick by Toolsy misses and Franks counters by clinching up. Franks tries to break the clinch but Toolsy is controlling the position. Toolsy can't get the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Toolsy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Franks lands with a left to the head. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Toolsy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Toolsy wants to get back to striking at distance but Franks won't allow it.

Franks's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Franks duly obliges. Toolsy with a lazy takedown attempt and Franks counters with a lovely straight right hand! Monte Franks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Toolsy. Franks looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Toolsy! Franks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Franks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Toolsy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Toolsy is positioning himself to get back to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. You can see the frustration on Toolsy's face as Franks controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Monte Franks dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Toolsy tries for a takedown but Franks circles away easily and Franks moves into the clinch. Franks has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Toolsy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Toolsy holding both Franks 's hands and preventing any damage. Toolsy tries to break free.
Toolsy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Toolsy is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Franks gets his way!

Franks is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Toolsy is defending well though. Franks let's go of the attempt for now. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Franks working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Toolsy. Franks is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mike Toolsy. Well Franks has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
