Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Almdudler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cousteau comes into the arena with 20000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Monster Attacks blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Andreas Almdudler enters the cage!

10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Cousteau! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andreas Almdudler! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cousteau tries to close the distance and clinch but Almdudler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cousteau shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Almdudler pinned against the cage. Almdudler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fight stays on the outside here - Cousteau looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cousteau shoots for a takedown but Almdudler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cousteau misses with a takedown attempt - Almdudler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacques Cousteau. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cousteau closes the distance and clinches up with Almdudler, looking for a takedown. Almdudler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Almdudler advances to half guard. Cousteau has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cousteau actively working from the bottom here. Cousteau is trying desperately to improve position. Cousteau bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Almdudler wants to hit a switch here but Cousteau passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Almdudler there! Almdudler wants to hold on but Cousteau pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
