Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yrjo Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Frazier acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yrjo Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Frazier! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.

Pierre showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Frazier.
Pierre chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Frazier can pounce on him.
Pierre tries to clinch up but Frazier circles away and keeps his distance. Frazier drops Pierre with a right and a left! Frazier comes rushing in but Pierre regains his composure and manages to keep Frazier in guard.

It looks like Yrjo Pierre has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Frazier advances to half guard. Oh Pierre is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Frazier looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Frazier takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pierre seems to have got his legs back now. I looks like Frazier might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Frazier trying to advance position but Pierre counters by regaining guard. Frazier is looking to work some ground and pound but Pierre has wrist control.

Frazier sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pierre tries to land a sweep but no joy. Frazier is looking to work some ground and pound but Pierre has wrist control.
Pierre has his foot on Frazier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frazier works his way back into a safe position though. Frazier postures up in Pierre's guard and throws a big left but Pierre blocks it.

Pierre uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Frazier. Pierre misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pierre is breathing heavily. Frazier misses with a wild combination.
Pierre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Frazier swivels and escapes. Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Frazier pinned against the cage. Frazier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yrjo Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frazier tries to clinch but Pierre moves out of range.
Frazier darts in and clinches Pierre up against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Frazier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pierre avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Frazier tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pierre counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Frazier stuffs the takedown attempt from Pierre. Pierre gets slowly back to his feet.
Frazier fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pierre, pushing him back against the cage.

Pierre is fighting off a takedown attempt but Frazier is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pierre to the mat. Pierre regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Frazier advances position into side control! Pierre is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Frazier is nestled in close to Pierre, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Frazier perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Frazier lands strikes from half guard. Frazier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Frazier missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pierre is in trouble now - Frazier has advanced to mount! Frazier tries to control but Pierre wriggling away. Frazier lands with some strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Frazier dominated that round. The cut man is working on Yrjo Pierre's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Frazier wants to clinch. Horrible takedown by Pierre or perhaps it was just good defense by Frazier which made him look bad. Pierre shoots for a takedown but Frazier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Frazier tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pierre paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pierre moves away from the strike by Frazier. Frazier looks to clinch
and Pierre counters with a nice double leg into guard. Frazier pulls Pierre in close to prevent any damage. Frazier keeping moving, preventing Pierre from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Frazier is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Frazier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pierre is keeping the position for now. Frazier trying to control the position from guard on top but Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Frazier passes Pierre's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Frazier stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Frazier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pierre swats him away and circles back towards the center. Frazier throws a head kick that misses.

A punch combination from Pierre misses. Frazier lands with a thumping leg kick.
Frazier moves into range and clinches up with Pierre. Pierre's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Frazier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Yrjo Pierre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pierre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Frazier.
A slow jab from Frazier misses its intended target. Pierre swats away the attempt to clinch by Frazier. Frazier is looking to clinch. Pierre closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Frazier doesn't manage to clinch there - Pierre circles away.

Frazier fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pierre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frazier's waist but Frazier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierre off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yrjo Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Frazier closes the distance and clinches.
Frazier manages to break the clinch.
Frazier moves into the clinch. Come on Frazier - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Jimmy Frazier seems to be getting the better of the standup. Frazier moves in looking to clinch but Pierre pushes him off. Frazier is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pierre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Frazier as he avoids it easily. Frazier misses with an uppercut. Frazier tries to clinch
and Pierre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pierre stopping the sweep attempt from Frazier. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frazier can do anything to dispel that myth.

That could spell trouble for Pierre! Frazier with good strikes from the mount here! Frazier dominating with strikes here. Frazier cracks Pierre with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Pierre is looking to improve his position but Frazier isn't that keen on the idea.
Frazier has control of Pierre's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pierre regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jimmy Frazier is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Frazier content just to control the position here. Pierre's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jimmy Frazier has got the better of the ground game so far. A nice elbow there by Frazier.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Frazier takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Frazier has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pierre's face.
Yrjo Pierre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frazier tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yrjo Pierre. Well Frazier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
