Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carl Cade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Cade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riley Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Cooper.
Cooper throws a right hand that Cade ducks under and follows up with a left that Cade also avoids with ease.
Cade tries a head kick but it misses.
Cade lands a head kick!
Cade checks a low kick from Cooper.
Cade takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Cooper gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cade is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cooper swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Cooper throws a body punch but Cade moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooper just misses with a punch to the body.
Carl Cade is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cade lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Cooper moves into the clinch.
Cooper misses with the head strike.
Cade blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Cade misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cade can't find room to land a body shot as Cooper controls the action.
Cade lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cooper backwards.
Cade tries a body shot but Cooper blocks it.

Cooper gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Cade regains full guard. Nicely done.

Cade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cooper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cooper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Cooper in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cade wants to sweep here but Cooper controlling him for the moment.
Cade seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Cade had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cooper defends it easily.
Cooper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cade works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cade looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Cade can't keep his opponent in guard - Cooper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cooper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cooper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cade's head.
Cade avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cooper.

Cooper is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cade doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cooper.

Cooper is nestled in close to Cade, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Cooper uses his free foot to push down on Cade's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cade.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cooper lands a big shot there that rocks Cade but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley Cooper dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Cooper throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cade sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cade throws a head kick but Cooper moves out of range.
Cade tries to clinch up but Cooper circles away and keeps his distance.
Riley Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cade misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cooper lands with a cross.
A jab from Cade misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cooper lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cade has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cade and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cooper lands a lovely overhand right.
Cooper moves forwards but Cade connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Cade throws a head kick but Cooper moves out of range.
Cooper swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cooper misses with a left hand
and Cade counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Good shot there by Cooper.
Cooper misses with a few strikes there.
Cooper lands with a nice body punch.

Cade moves into the clinch successfully.
Cooper tries to work over Cade's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Cooper fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Cooper digs a right hand underneath Cade's ribcage. Cade let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Cooper manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cooper takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Cade tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cooper paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cade takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cooper closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Cade misses with a looping left.
Cade chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cooper can pounce on him.
Cooper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cade's waist but Cade gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooper off to one side.
Cade misses the jab.
Cooper throws a shot from downtown. Cade moves away and avoids it.
Cade tries to move into range but Cooper moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Cooper throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cooper throws out a loose jab but Cade uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cooper looks to land a left hand but Cade moved out of range nicely.
Cooper is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cooper moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Cade leaves Cooper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Cooper looks to throw the jab but Cade is out of range.
Cooper tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Cade to counter with a crisp jab.
Cooper avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cade takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cooper thows a left - swing and a miss!
Cooper lands a nice shot to the body.
Cade throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cooper goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Riley Cooper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Riley Cooper has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cooper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cooper looking for a guillotine here but Cade defends easily.

Cooper is working an open guard so Cade takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A lazy left from Cooper finds it's target.

Cade lands a lovely overhand right.

and Cooper counters with a three punch combo that has Cade backing up. Cade nods at Cooper to acknowledge the strikes.
Cooper lands a lovely overhand right.
Cooper feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cades jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cade drops his hands momentarily and Cooper takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A low kick from Cooper is predictable there
and Cade counters with a head kick that wobbles Cooper - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Cade sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Cade!
Carl Cade seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
