Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aiden August (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fujiyama Akagono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aiden August! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fujiyama Akagono! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! August rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Akagono counters with a shoot takedown. August fights it but they end up in guard. Akagono wants to control from the top but August keeps moving. Akagono throws a strike but August rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Akagono wants to stand but August is controlling the position. August throwing strikes but missing. August lands a couple of decent looking shots. Akagono preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. August avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Akagono looking for a guillotine here but August defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. August working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Akagono looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Akagono keeping moving, preventing August from controlling successfully. Hammerfist, elbow! yells August's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Akagono has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but August can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. August trying to control but Akagono is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. August throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akagono keeping full guard, as August tries to pass. August won't allow Akagono to sweep him here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Akagono keeping moving, preventing August from controlling successfully. August has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Akagono has his foot on August's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. August works his way back into a safe position though. August wants to control from the top but Akagono keeps moving. August trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Akagono had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. August defends it easily. Akagono is looking for a triangle but August pushes his legs off easily.
Akagono working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from August. August postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. August postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. August works over Akagono with some ground and pound from guard. August wants to pass the guard but Akagono is keeping the position. August with a nice head shot there. August is looking to advance position but Akagono has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Akagono misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Akagono looking to control but August is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Akagono goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now August is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. August working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Akagono's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! August pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Akagono is keeping the position for now. August knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Akagono on the ground. Akagono pushes August off and gets back to his feet.
Akagono takes one to the side of the head.
Akagono shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. August connects with a good right hand that stumbles Akagono. Akagono circles away out of range and recomposes himself. August slips under a jab. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Akagono tries to clinch but August moves out of range. Akagono takes one to the chin there. August fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Akagono to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Akagono looks to clinch but August throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Akagono taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Aiden August! Our winner, Aiden August, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
