Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins has chosen Mary Jane as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Jenkins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Jenkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Jenkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jenkins looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.
Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jenkins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.

Jenkins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jenkins controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
Jenkins is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jenkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
Silva is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jenkins trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.
Silva distracts Jenkins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jenkins wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jenkins's guard.

Jenkins wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jenkins slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Jenkins has his feet on Silva's thighs here. He's pushed Silva off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Silva screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
