Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roland William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Miller!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but William paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miller tries a head kick but it misses.
William doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Miller has taken the fight to the clinch.

Miller works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Miller wants to control from the top but William keeps moving.
Miller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. William is keeping the position for now.
William pulls Miller in close to prevent any damage.
Miller trying to control but William is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Greg Miller was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from William enables Miller to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. William manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but William is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Miller is looking to stand up but William won't let him.
Miller trying to move into half guard but instead William has managed to sweep!
Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

William wants to stand but Miller has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
William is stalling in the full guard.

Miller has William up against the cage in a clinch.

Miller has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics William uses from the top position.
Miller wants to get back to his feet but William is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Miller looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! William has picked Miller up and slammed him! Miller can't keep hold of the triangle and William manages to pass to side control!
Miller is looking for a sweep.
William wants to stand but Miller is controlling his arm.

Miller wants to control but William postures up.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Miller tries to bench press William off him but William keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Miller's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Miller manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Miller seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. William was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Miller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Greg Miller has got the better of the ground game so far.
Miller won't allow William to get back to his feet.
Miller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Greg Miller.

William gets caught napping as Miller dives in and scores a takedown. William manages to retain guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

William has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

William not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
William will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Roland William wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Miller looks for the body kick but William saw that one coming.

Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
