Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Android Five (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stafford James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Android Five!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stafford James!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Five wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Five misses with a lunging right hand
and James counters with a left to the body.
James connects with the punch.
Five keeps the fight on the outside.
Some wild striking there from James.
James wants to clinch.
Five scores with a sloppy right hand. James should have avoided that one.
Five misses with a jab to the body
and James counters with a left to the body.
Five misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting James counter with a right hand.
James throws a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Five sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
James throws a lazy right hand but Five sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Five misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James stuffs the takedown.
Five throws a body shot but no joy.
A combination from Five does no damage.
James digs a good body shot into Five's ribs.
James fails to land with a series of punches.
James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Five looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range.

and James counters with a two punch combo.
Stafford James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

James throws a body punch but Five moves out of range.
James lands with a cross.
Five avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Five throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Five falls off balance throwing a combination
and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Five cracks James with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Five misses with a jab to the body
and James counters with a lovely shot to the body.
James dodges the punch combination from Five.
Five fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Five lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but James circles away quickly and effectively.
Five misses with a looping left.
James jabs at Five's body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Five. James does a little dance to reset his feet.

Five shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches James napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
James parries the strikes from Five easily there. Five is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable James to escape.
James is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Five is working James over with some ground and pound from side control.
Five tries to move into full mount but can't pass James's legs.
Five works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Five is chipping away with strikes.
Five working the ground and pound.
Five working the ground and pound but James is defending the strikes.
James is trying to buck Five off.
Five scores with a couple of short elbows.
James wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Five wants to control but James is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

James is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Five has just dragged him back down to the mat.
James is working to avoid the ground and pound but Five connects with a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Five throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. James was covering up waiting for the punch and Five finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Five chips away with some ground and pound.
James wants to get back to his feet but Five is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Five lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Five trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Android Five overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Five throwing strikes but missing.
Five trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Five won't allow James to get back to his feet.
Five landing some decent shots from guard.
James wants to stand up but Five is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Five stands up over James, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Five is in close to James's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Five trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Five trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Five has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Five won't allow James to get back to his feet.
James is breathing heavily.
Five keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of James's head.

Five postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it.
Five is working James over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Five passes James's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
James is not content to let Five control the position.
Five tries to pass to full mount but James defends it.
Five misses with a head shot. James uses the momentum to regain guard.
James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Five with a flurry of punches that miss.

James keeping moving, preventing Five from controlling successfully.
James utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Five trying to control but James is working from the bottom.
Five scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
James wants to stand up but Five is controlling him.
Five pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. James is keeping the position for now.
Five scoring with punches to the head and body.
Five wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
Five throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Five looking to sit in guard and control but James gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Five is working an open guard so James takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
James scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
James lands a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Five throws an uppercut from half a mile away. James sees it coming and avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James walks into a left hand.
Five scores with a jab. James acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
James misses with the combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Android Five dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


James throws a series of punches but Five moves out of range.
James lands with a nice body punch.

Nice straight punches there by James. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of James.
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Five swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Five avoids a punch combination nicely.
Five throws a left and a right that both miss
and James counters with a two punch combo.
Five throws a lazy uppercut
and James counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Five just misses with a punch to the body.
James throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Android Five seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Five misses with a shot to the body
and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Five paws at him with a jab and circles away.
James slips a jab and a cross from Five.
James's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and James duly obliges.
James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
James moves out of range as Five strikes.
Five misses the body punch
and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
James throws a right hand that Five ducks under and follows up with a left that Five also avoids with ease.

letting James counter with a right hand.
Five throws a poor cross that misses
and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stafford James seems to be getting the better of the standup.

James on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nice defenses there by James.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Five.

Five throws a body shot but no joy.
Five is looking to wear down James with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
James fails in his attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Five or perhaps it was just good defense by James, which made it look bad.
A telegraphed right hand from Five misses the target.
James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
James uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Five.
Five ducks right into an uppercut from James.

James leaves Five with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Five circles away quickly and effectively.
Five moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Five darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Five or perhaps it was just good defense by James, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Android Five. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Five shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Five gets slowly back to his feet.

James throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Five avoids a punch combination nicely.
Five waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract James.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Stafford James.
