Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Calvin Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ender Wiggin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to bum rush Wiggin with a series of wild strikes but Wiggin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wiggin swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Wiggin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Johnson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Johnson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A big left from Wiggin misses. Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Johnson clinches. Knees to the body from Wiggin.
Wiggin scores with a shoulder strike. Johnson misses with a punch on the inside.

It looks like Calvin Johnson has been cut. Wiggin lands a shoulder strike. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson misses with the head strike.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wiggin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Wiggin lands a damaging elbow. Johnson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wiggin landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Calvin Johnson's cut is getting worse. I was talking to Johnson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Wiggin creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Johnson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Johnson drops to his knees and Wiggin pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ender Wiggin! A relieved looking Ender Wiggin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
