Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Skantze Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Raiders March. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Skantze Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.
A punch lands to the side of Skantze Jr 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Skantze Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones avoids the body shot from Skantze Jr.
Skantze Jr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones clobbers Skantze Jr with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Skantze Jr tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jones's elbow.

Jones has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at GnP Factory Elite Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Skantze Jr is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.

Skantze Jr slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Skantze Jr's head.

Skantze Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Skantze Jr up and slammed him! Skantze Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control!

Jones cracks Skantze Jr with a big right hand but Skantze Jr just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Skantze Jr is trying to escape the position but Jones is controlling the position.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Skantze Jr is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.

Skantze Jr takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Skantze Jr tries to control but Jones manages to take his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Skantze Jr's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Skantze Jr has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Skantze Jr doesn't seem phased though.
Skantze Jr lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jones connects with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Skantze Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Skantze Jr moves away from the strike by Jones.
Skantze Jr misses with the combination.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Skantze Jr.
Skantze Jr misses with a wild body shot.

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.

Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Skantze Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones.

Jones is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Skantze Jr wants to get back to his feet.

Skantze Jr is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Jones is tapping! Great win for Skantze Jr!
