Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Svensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensen closes the distance and clinches.
Svensen jumps into guard, dragging Machado to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Machado won't allow Svensen to sweep him here.
Machado drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Machado jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Svensen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Machado pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Svensen is keeping the position for now.
Svensen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Machado defends it easily.
Machado advances position into side control!
Machado tries for a kimura but Svensen is defending well.

You can see the frustration on Svensen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Machado tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Machado has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Svensen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Machado is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Svensen sees it coming and defends easily.
Machado passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Svensen!
Machado moves to take his opponent's back.
Svensen is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Svensen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Machado is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Svensen with him. Svensen is trying to defend but Machado has an arm under the chin now! Svensen grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Johan Machado!
A relieved looking Johan Machado thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
