Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Connor Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thomas is one step ahead there.
Thomas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Thomas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Thomas wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jackson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Thomas tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jackson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Thomas hang on?

It looks like Jason Thomas has been cut.

Jackson lands a nice shot to the head.

That has opened up Jason Thomas's cut even more.
Jackson cracks Thomas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Thomas is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him?
Jason Thomas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jason Thomas's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
