Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaan Jalgratas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louden Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swain has chosen Gambler as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jaan Jalgratas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Louden Swain! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swain shoots for a double leg takedown but Jalgratas sprawls well. He's pushed Swain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Swain tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jalgratas defends well and Swain ends up having to push Jalgratas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Swain lands a hook to the side of the head. Swain is trying to break the clinch but Jalgratas is controlling him. Jalgratas with a knee to the head.

Swain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jalgratas tries to clinch up. Jalgratas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jalgratas pivots, looking for a leg kick but Swain is out of range and Jalgratas settles back down. Swain walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jalgratas looks to land a combination but Swain avoids it well. Jaan Jalgratas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jalgratas misses the body punch and Swain counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Swain wants to control from the top but Jalgratas keeps moving. Swain is looking to work some ground and pound but Jalgratas has wrist control. Jalgratas has control of Swain's left arm, preventing Swain from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swain with a nice head shot there. Swain wants to control from the top but Jalgratas keeps moving. Jalgratas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swain controls the pace. Jalgratas is looking to sweep but instead, Swain has passed into half guard.
Jalgratas keeps control of the position for the meantime. Swain works his way into side control. Swain looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swain is looking to take a break and control but Jalgratas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Swain throws an elbow but Jalgratas slips to the side and avoids it well. Jalgratas tries to improve position but can't. Swain working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Jalgratas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Check out the look on Swain's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Swain lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jalgratas tries to reverse the position but Swain maintains control. Jalgratas is working hard here to advance position. Swain controlling his opponent. Swain unloading with bombs! Swain drops a big elbow. That's hurt Jalgratas! More shots from Swain and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
