Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harry Mcclure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendall Trent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendall Trent will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harry Mcclure! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendall Trent! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trent swats away the attempt to clinch by Mcclure. Trent fails to land with a series of punches.
A left and a right from Trent both land. Nice combination. Trent throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mcclure counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Mcclure shoots in and drives through. Trent sprawls well. Trent fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck for Mcclure with that takedown attempt. Mcclure thumps Trent with a low kick. Mcclure throws a chopping leg kick but Trent manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Mcclure could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Trent connects with a body shot that sends Mcclure's belly button to the back. Mcclure takes one to the chin there. Trent fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mcclure. A nice leg kick lands there from Mcclure. Trent looks winded! Mcclure shoots in for a double leg but Trent sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harry Mcclure. That's going to take a lot out of him. Trent scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Trent throws a right hand that Mcclure ducks under and follows up with a left that Mcclure also avoids with ease. Mcclure uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trent. Mcclure tries to clinch but Trent moves out of range. Trent leaves Mcclure with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mcclure tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Trent manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Trent misses with a few strikes there.

and Mcclure counters with a solid body kick. Mcclure shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trent sprawls well. Trent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcclure gets slowly back to his feet. Mcclure is trying hard to land a takedown here. Trent sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Trent misses with a double jab.

Mcclure tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Trent lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mcclure has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Trent finds it's way round the side to connect with Mcclure's head. Trent throws a series of strikes that have Mcclure backpedaling.
Trent catches Mcclure with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A right-left combo lands from Trent. Trent is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Trent follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mcclure slips under a jab. Trent has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Mcclure lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kendall Trent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcclure dives in for a single leg takedown but Trent sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mcclure is trying to force a seperation but Trent has the dominant position. Mcclure wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Trent has him pressed against the cage. Trent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Trent with a jab. Mcclure decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Trent wants to get back to his feet. Mcclure stalling. Mcclure throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mcclure thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trent's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trent can do anything to dispel that myth. Mcclure winds up and cracks Trent with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcclure is looking for a kimura but Trent is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mcclure to get the leverage. Trent looks like he's trying to stand up.

A lull in the action here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mcclure wants to control but Trent is keeping him busy. Mcclure controls the position from side control.

Trent pushes Mcclure away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mcclure gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mcclure has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee asks Mcclure politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mcclure prefers to stall for the moment though. Trent is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mcclure asserts his dominance and retains side control. Mcclure is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trent knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
