Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Death! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ip Leung ! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Leung , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Leung doesn't manage to clinch there - Death circles away.
Leung throws a nice looking combination but Death bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Leung misses with a wild combination.
Death tries to close the distance and clinch but Leung swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sloppy strikes from Leung . Those never looked like landing. Leung tries a head kick but it misses.
Leung slaps away a takedown attempt from Death, before circling back to the center of the mat. No luck for Death with that takedown attempt. Death tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Leung throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Death. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leung throws a series of punches but Death avoids them all with ease. Death has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Leung . Death postures up in Leung 's guard and throws a big left but Leung blocks it. Leung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Death working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Death thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Death has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Death trying to control the position from guard on top but Leung is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Death. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Leung wants to clinch.

Leung lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Death backwards. A short left from Death.
