Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jannis Arvanitidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Kakashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kakashi has chosen Nas - Hate Me Now as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jannis Arvanitidis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aoki Kakashi! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arvanitidis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Arvanitidis misses with a wild body shot. Arvanitidis looks to land a combination but Kakashi avoids it well. Kakashi shoots in for a double leg but Arvanitidis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Arvanitidis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kakashi sees it coming and avoids it easily. Arvanitidis misses with the combination.
Arvanitidis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arvanitidis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kakashi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kakashi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Arvanitidis's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Arvanitidis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kakashi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Arvanitidis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Arvanitidis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kakashi has escaped the position, nice work there. Arvanitidis swings around for an armbar but Kakashi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Arvanitidis's guard. Arvanitidis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kakashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Arvanitidis working for a triangle but Kakashi defends it easily.

Kakashi pushes down on Arvanitidis's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Arvanitidis actively working from the bottom here. Kakashi is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Kakashi counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Arvanitidis is lucky that one didn't land flush. Arvanitidis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kakashi. Jannis Arvanitidis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kakashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arvanitidis tries to avoid it but Kakashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arvanitidis to the ground. Arvanitidis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Arvanitidis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kakashi counters with a nice body shot. Arvanitidis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kakashi pinned against the cage. Kakashi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Arvanitidis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arvanitidis drops Kakashi with a beautiful combination! Kakashi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arvanitidis is looking for the KO!
Kakashi is rocked! Jannis Arvanitidis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A punch combination from Arvanitidis misses. Kakashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Arvanitidis finish him? A big right from Arvanitidis misses. Kakashi shoots in for a takedown but Arvanitidis shows good takedown defense. Jannis Arvanitidis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aoki Kakashi. Arvanitidis misses with a combination

Kakashi seems to have recovered his senses. Kakashi wants to control but Arvanitidis is keeping him busy. Arvanitidis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kakashi can do to turn this around?

Arvanitidis is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Vicious Striking, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Arvanitidis regains half guard. Arvanitidis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kakashi is working away from the top position though. Arvanitidis gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kakashi looks up at the clock and then as Arvanitidis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kakashi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Arvanitidis is trying to improve his position. Arvanitidis being controlled for a moment. Arvanitidis is not content to let Kakashi control the position. Kakashi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Arvanitidis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Arvanitidis sneaks back into half guard. Arvanitidis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Arvanitidis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kakashi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kakashi's back! Kakashi is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Kakashi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Arvanitidis's guard. Nice work there by Kakashi.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jannis Arvanitidis will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Arvanitidis with a lazy takedown attempt and Kakashi counters with a three punch combo that has Arvanitidis backing up. Arvanitidis nods at Kakashi to acknowledge the strikes. Arvanitidis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kakashi manages to get to full guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kakashi trying to control the position from guard on top but Arvanitidis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kakashi is sitting in close to Arvanitidis's body. Arvanitidis has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kakashi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kakashi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Arvanitidis.
