Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Yuber!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Conway.
Conway throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Yuber is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Conway is pressing down on Yuber's thigh, looking to free his foot. Yuber is holding on for now.

Conway is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yuber is just riding it out for now. Conway eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Conway is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yuber defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yuber is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Conway's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Conway's back!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yuber somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Conway wants to escape the position.
Yuber tries to keep control of the position but Conway is staying busy.
Yuber really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Conway.
Yuber has the hooks in. Conway is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Conway is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Yuber gets his way!
My spies in Bi-polar Asylum inform me that Yuber has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Conway is trapped and Yuber is scoring with shots to the head and body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Yuber is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Conway knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Conway for a finish.

Conway just trying to survive but Yuber is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

During a confident post fight interview, Ivan Yuber thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
