Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snuka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Superfly by Curtis Mayfield. Jimmy Snuka acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Snuka! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snuka loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Snuka postures up in Sanchez's guard and throws a big left but Sanchez blocks it. Snuka lands a couple of elbows. Sanchez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Snuka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Snuka keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snuka throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snuka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Snuka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Snuka working for a triangle but Sanchez defends it easily.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Snuka keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sanchez postures up.
Snuka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Snuka looking for a sweep. Not yet Snuka, not yet. Sanchez advances position into side control! Snuka tries to improve position but can't. Sanchez trying to control the position but Snuka is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snuka is trying to improve his position. Sanchez working away. Sanchez is staying tight to Snuka's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sanchez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sanchez quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Snuka closes the distance and clinches up with Sanchez, looking for a takedown. Snuka pushes Sanchez against the cage but Sanchez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Snuka throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanchez. Diego Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sanchez lands a jab. Snuka looks to land a combination but Sanchez avoids it well. A slow jab from Snuka misses its intended target. Nice uppercut lands for Sanchez. That snapped Snuka's head back.
Snuka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A jab lands there for Sanchez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good shot there by Snuka. A jab from Snuka misses. A jab from Sanchez finds it's way through Snuka's defenses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez throws a jab when Snuka was well out of range. Snuka drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sanchez defends it well. Snuka has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sanchez. Snuka takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sanchez lands a jab.
Snuka is rocked! Sanchez drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Snuka right on the button. Snuka goes down! Sanchez follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Sanchez gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Sanchez! Diego Sanchez decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Jimmy Snuka spoke after the fight, saying 'What the hell just happened? Anyone get the license plate number off that truck?'.
