The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takayanagi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Silva tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Takayanagi has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Takayanagi tries to control but Silva wriggling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takayanagi throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Takayanagi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape.

Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takayanagi on the ground.
Poor strikes thrown by Takayanagi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
Takayanagi lands a couple of good shots and Silva has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takayanagi is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Silva with him. Silva is trying to defend but Takayanagi has an arm under the chin now! Silva grimaces and is forced to tap out!
