Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Conger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown's entrance music is Rob Zombie - Dragula . A fine choice. The key to victory for Matt Brown has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Conger! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conger takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Brown slips under a jab from Conger. Conger is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brown's half guard. Conger is looking to advance position but Brown won't allow it. Conger missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Brown avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Conger. Conger is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brown's head. Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Conger sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conger trying to control the pace. Conger thows a huge punch but Brown dodges it nicely.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Josh Conger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Conger throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Conger is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Brown scoring well with a low kick there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Conger chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Conger drives through and clinches with Brown against the cage.
Brown breaks the clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Brown. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Brown. Conger clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the cage. Brown trying to stall but Conger improves his position.
Brown lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Conger backwards. Conger manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Conger does no damage. Conger misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown scores with a leg kick.
Conger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Brown throws a low kick but Conger avoids it. Brown misses with a body shot.
Conger moves out of range of the body kick. Conger chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Conger throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily. Conger shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Matt Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Conger. Brown on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Conger lands a slapping body shot.
Conger darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conger blocks an uppercut.
Brown tries to circle away but Conger has him pinned against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Conger pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Conger throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Brown misses with a double jab.
Conger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Conger throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Conger blocks a head kick by Brown.
Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brown throws a sloppy head kick and Conger counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Conger tries to clinch but Brown moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Conger dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Conger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one. Matt Brown is winning the standup battle so far. Conger moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off. Brown misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Brown counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Conger misses with a body shot.
Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brown cracks a nice hook into Conger's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conger shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Conger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Brown scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Conger misses with a double jab
and Brown counters with a series of strikes that sends Conger to the canvas! Brown follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Conger is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Conger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Conger is still in real trouble! Can Brown finish him? Conger thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Conger has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage. Conger seems to have recovered his senses. Brown preventing the sweep. Conger being controlled here, momentarily. Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Conger has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Conger is retaining full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Conger is looking to clinch. Brown throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Conger counters with a lovely straight right hand! Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Conger. Matt Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Conger. Conger moves into the clinch. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brown has a couple of punches blocked by Conger.
Conger is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Conger gets a trip takedown into half guard. Conger lands strikes from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Conger sits in half guard. Conger stops Brown from getting back to his feet.
Conger is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ground and pound from Conger.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Conger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Conger darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage. Conger pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Conger throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Brown scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Conger checks the leg kick. Conger shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Matt Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Conger fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Matt Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Conger keeps the fight on the outside. Brown tests Conger's chin there with a solid looking shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Brown will probably get the nod. That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Conger wants to clinch. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Conger. Brown shrugs it off though. Conger misses with a head kick.
Brown throws a leg kick but Conger sees it coming and moves out of range. Conger shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brown has an active guard here but Conger has managed to pass into half guard.
Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown pushes Conger off looking to stand but Conger dives back in and keeps control.
Brown trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Conger wants to clinch but Brown slips to the side and Brown counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Brown pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brown throws a low kick, looking for Conger's leg but Conger calmly moves out of range. Brown throws a head kick that misses. Conger scores with a shot to the body.
Conger takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses. Conger jabbing away but nothing is landing. Conger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Conger getting side control. Conger is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Conger seems to be working for a kimura but Brown defends the submission attempt. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Conger working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conger is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Conger throws a strike but Brown avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Brown is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Conger dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conger scores with punches from side control. Conger content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Conger trying to control the position but Brown is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conger tries to move into full mount but can't pass Brown's legs. Brown is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Conger off and has taken his back! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You can see the frustration on Conger's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Brown is trying to stick to Conger's back but Conger is turning into Brown. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brown's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Conger.
And that's the end of the fight! Josh Conger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Conger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
