The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Griffith goes for a double leg but Derdriuc avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Derdriuc continues to drive forward.
Griffith tightens his grip and picks Derdriuc up, before dumping him to the ground. Derdriuc manages to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Griffith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Derdriuc's waist but Derdriuc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Griffith off to one side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Griffith shoots in but no luck this time.
Griffith shoots for a takedown but Derdriuc saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Griffith is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Derdriuc sees it coming and defends easily.

Well Griffith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
