Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Papa Shango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Papa Shango! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Peter Parker! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker moves into the clinch. Shango blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Parker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shango backwards. Shango tries to pull guard but Parker holds him up against the cage and eventually Shango drops back down to his feet.
Parker gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shango is trying is best to control the position here. Shango has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Parker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shango wants to get back to full guard. Parker trying to control the pace. Parker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shango wants to improve his position but Parker is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Parker connects with a nice short shot to Shango's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Shango misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Parker prevents Shango from improving his position. Parker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shango slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Parker stopping the sweep attempt from Shango. Parker looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shango wants to improve his position but instead Parker has moved into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shango gets full guard. Shango wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Shango is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Shango manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shango working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Shango tries to control but Parker wriggling away. Shango is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Parker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Parker shrugs it off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker tries to hold on but Shango pushes him away. Parker is squirming around, avoiding Shango's attempts to control the action. Parker avoids a series of strikes thrown by Shango.
Parker is in all sorts of trouble here.

Shango working for a guillotine from mount but Parker is in no mood to give up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker tries to hold on but Shango pushes him away. Shango working for a guillotine from mount but Parker is in no mood to give up. Parker tries to reverse the position but Shango maintains control. Shango wants to control the pace but Parker is squirming around nicely. Shango looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shango jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Parker is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Parker and Shango has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Parker tries to buck Shango off but Shango is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Papa Shango will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shango is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parker's half guard. Shango is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Parker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shango. Parker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Parker seems keen to control Shango's posture. Parker keeping full guard, as Shango tries to pass. Parker wants to sweep but no luck. Shango passes easily into side control. Nice work. You can see the frustration on Parker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker is not content to let Shango control the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Shango thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Parker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shango. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shango has knee on belly and moves into mount. Shango looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Shango working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Parker really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker is trying desperately to improve position. Shango wants to control the pace but Parker is squirming around nicely. Shango throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Parker regains half guard. Parker wants to get back to his feet. Shango seems to be looking for submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shango is looking to take a break and control but Parker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shango wants to work for an arm triangle but Parker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker is trying to stand up here but Shango is controlling him well. Parker is positioning himself well to prevent Shango advancing to mount. Parker wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Parker manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Shango wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parker is on top in guard.
Parker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Parker is sitting in close to Shango's body. Shango has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Parker is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Parker is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Shango.
