Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takada Kumushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Dei Porti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergio Dei Porti has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Takada Kumushi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Dei Porti!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kumushi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dei Porti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kumushi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kumushi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kumushi is stalling here. Dei Porti is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kumushi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dei Porti has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That was a close round but I would say that Takada Kumushi will probably get the nod.

Dei Porti shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kumushi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Kumushi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dei Porti tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dei Porti has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kumushi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dei Porti swivels and escapes.

Dei Porti throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kumushi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dei Porti is in Kumushi's guard.

Dei Porti has an Americana. Kumushi didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dei Porti is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dei Porti hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
