Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silas Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Potatos!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Storm.
Potatos misses with a left hand

and Storm counters with a takedown into side control.
Storm misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Storm is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Potatos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Storm working the strikes but Potatos uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Storm wants to lay and pray for a moment but Potatos keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Storm wants to work for an arm triangle but Potatos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Potatos keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Storm trying to mount his opponent but Potatos defends it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Storm thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potatos's head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Storm fails with the takedown
and Potatos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Storm misses with an uppercut. Potatos saw that one coming.
A jab from Storm misses.
Potatos scoring well with a low kick there.
Storm tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Potatos swivels and escapes.

Storm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Potatos defends it nicely.

Potatos lands a nice leg kick that just misses Storm's sensitive parts.
Potatos tries to score with a low kick but Storm moves his leg out of the way.

and Potatos counters with a one-two to the body.
Storm shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Potatos as he avoids it easily.

Storm closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Storm drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Potatos is pressed up against the cage. Storm has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Potatos down to the mat. Potatos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Storm shoots for a double leg takedown but Potatos sprawls well. He's pushed Storm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Storm darts in looking for a takedown but Potatos gets double underhooks and turns Storm into the cage.

Potatos lands with a short shot to the head.
Storm has Potatos pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Potatos manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Still in the clinch, Potatos scores with a nice short uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Potatos tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Storm's elbow.

Potatos lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Storm takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Potatos scores with a jab to the jaw.

Storm takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Storm.

Potatos shoots in looking for a takedown but Storm manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Potatos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Potatos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Storm shoots in and drives through. Potatos sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Storm closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Potatos did well to prevent Storm getting side control.

and Potatos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Storm shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Potatos as he avoids it easily.
Potatos lands with a cross.
Potatos lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Potatos throws a nice looking combination but Storm bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Storm keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Potatos.
Storm has his takedown stuffed
and Storm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Potatos connects with a looping right hand.
Potatos throws a right hand that Storm ducks under and follows up with a left that Storm also avoids with ease.
Storm avoids a kick to the body.

Storm shoots in and gets a takedown into Potatos's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Potatos trying to keep a closed guard but Storm is proving a slippery customer.
Storm is looking to pass into half guard but Potatos pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Potatos is in guard.

Potatos won't allow Storm to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jack Potatos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Potatos fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Storm on the side of the head.
Silas Storm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Potatos feints a jab promting Storm to slip. Potatos then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Storm slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Jack Potatos seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Storm is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Potatos gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Storm blocking some punches.
Storm changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Potatos fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Potatos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jack Potatos seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Potatos digs a good hook to Storm's body.
Potatos connects with a right hand. Storm shakes it off.
Nice straight punches there by Potatos. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Potatos.

Storm looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Storm missing with a left hand there. Potatos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Potatos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Potatos lands a big head kick that sends Storm to the canvas! Potatos follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
