Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Pompaius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Lanes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Lanes!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pompaius manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pompaius changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Pompaius lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Pompaius stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pompaius wants it to stay on the feet.
Lanes wants to clinch.
Lanes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pompaius's waist but Pompaius gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lanes off to one side.
Pompaius misses with a wild combination.
Lanes tries to clinch but Pompaius is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A bit of stalling here from Pompaius.
Pompaius is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Lanes misses with a body punch.
Pompaius is struggling to control the position.
Lanes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pompaius has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Pompaius slows down the pace here.
Lanes is trying to pull guard but Pompaius has him pressed against the cage.
Gaius Pompaius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Lanes.
Lanes lands a good knee to the midsection. Pompaius won't want to take too many of those.

Lanes is looking to clinch but Pompaius is avoiding it.
The fighters circling - Pompaius throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lanes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pompaius swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lanes scores with a takedown into Pompaius's guard.
Pompaius pulls Lanes in close to prevent any damage.

Lanes passes into half guard.
Pompaius is defending against the submission attempts here by Lanes.
Pompaius is refusing to be controlled, as Lanes sits in half guard.
Pompaius is trying to maintain the position but Lanes is very close to passing his half guard.
Pompaius wants to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lanes wants to take a breather but Pompaius is having none of it.
Pompaius controlling the position for now.
Lanes trying to control the action but Pompaius is working from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lanes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lanes is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gaius Pompaius will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lanes tries to clinch up but Pompaius circles away and keeps his distance.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pompaius darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lanes on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Lanes wants to clinch
and Pompaius comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Lanes stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Pompaius is on him like rabid pit bull! Lanes slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gaius Pompaius!
