Solomon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alves did well to prevent Solomon getting side control.
Solomon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alves does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Alves is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Solomon pulls his head out easily.

Solomon wants to control but Alves is keeping him busy.

Solomon decides to return to a standing position.

Solomon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alves to the ground. Solomon is now in Alves's guard.
Solomon wants to get up but he can't break Alves's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
