Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jay Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anthony Pettis! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis tries to bum rush Tyler with a series of wild strikes but Tyler uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pettis stuns Tyler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Tyler connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pettis's hands. Pettis looks to land a combination but Tyler avoids it well. Pettis thuds his right hand into Tyler's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Pettis defending well as Tyler loads up on a big left hand. Pettis slips under a jab from Tyler. Jay Tyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyler thows a left - swing and a miss! Tyler tries to clinch up. Pettis misses with a looping right. Tyler scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pettis in his tracks. A big left from Pettis misses. Tyler misses with a right hand and Pettis counters with a stiff right hand. Tyler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Pettis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tyler after a bit of a struggle. Pettis goes for a takedown attempt but Tyler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tyler takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pettis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tyler circles away quickly and effectively. Tyler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pettis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Pettis throws a jab but it's blocked by Tyler. Pettis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tyler cracks Pettis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Pettis missing with a left hand there. Tyler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pettis throws a hook to the side of Tyler's head but Tyler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tyler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pettis, pushing him back against the cage. Tyler works on Pettis's body with a couple of short punches. Pettis managing to block the knees to the body from Tyler.

Tyler tries to land knees in the clinch but Pettis avoids the damage to the body. Pettis wants a takedown.
Jay Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Pettis. Tyler lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pettis backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pettis avoids it. Pettis managing to block the knees to the body from Tyler.
Tyler is defending well against a takedown attempt. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Tyler tries to throw a body punch but Pettis avoids it by throwing Tyler back against the cage. Tyler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pettis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tyler. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pettis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pettis's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pettis duly obliges. Pettis misses with a combination
and Tyler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Tyler cracks Pettis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Pettis misses with a straight right. Pettis throws a right and a left that Tyler avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tyler. A combination from Pettis does no damage. Pettis dodges the punch combination from Tyler.

Tyler dips to his left and cracks Pettis with an uppercut! Pettis keeps the fight on the outside. Tyler throws a hook but Pettis blocks it. A lazy left from Tyler finds it's target. Tyler avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Tyler is looking to clinch but Pettis is avoiding it.
Pettis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyler manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pettis misses with the combination.
Tyler defending well as Pettis loads up on a big left hand. Tyler closes the distance and clinches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tyler swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Pettis is trying to drag Tyler to the mat but Tyler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Pettis tries to score a body lock takedown but Tyler shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Tyler tries to land knees in the clinch but Pettis avoids the damage to the body. Tyler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pettis backwards. Tyler scores with a shot to the side of Pettis's head. Tyler missing with knees to the body.
Tyler is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pettis is defending well for now. Pettis avoiding damage as Tyler throws knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Tyler dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tyler rushes Pettis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tyler goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pettis wants the takedown. Tyler is fighting it off but Pettis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tyler's guard against the cage. Tyler keeping full guard, as Pettis tries to pass. Pettis wants to control from the top but Tyler keeps moving. Pettis wants to pass the guard but Tyler is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pettis keeps trying to improve his position. Pettis drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pettis as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Tyler screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pettis! Nice submission victory there!
