Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Short Fuse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and XZ Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). XZ Mann acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mann was well out of range. Poor timing from Fuse.
Mann pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fuse looks to score with a jab to the body but Mann is just out of range.
Fuse throws a body shot but no joy.
Good standup being displayed there by Fuse as he connects with a hook.
Mann is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mann moves out of range as Fuse throws a body kick.
Fuse goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fuse throws a body punch but Mann moves out of range.
Mann lands with a slapping head kick.
Fuse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mann slips a straight right by Fuse.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fuse sprawls well. Fuse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mann gets slowly back to his feet.

Mann throws a hook but Fuse avoids it easily.
No joy there for Mann, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fuse stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Fuse looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Mann throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mann will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mann swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Fuse lands a big head kick that sends Mann tumbling to the mat! Fuse takes a step backwards and waves Mann back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fuse bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mann is breathing heavily.

Mann might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mann's coach down at island top team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mann's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fuse is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mann can do to turn this around?

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Mann might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Fuse has got the better of the exchanges.

That was a close round but Short Fuse did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fuse cracks Mann with an open hand slap.
Mann lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fuse circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mann to the canvas! Mann doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Fuse keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
